Welcome to our
Cape to Cairo and Beyond
adventure!!

Alan and Sandy Morton invite you to join
their fabulous trans-Africa adventures from the relaxed comfort and
safety of your computer chair!

We are adventurous by nature and have been heading off into the African bush for a number of years, increasingly into more remote places.   All of our experiences resulted in our decision to tackle "Cape to Cairo and Beyond!"

We left home, that's Johannesburg, South Africa on 12 May 2004 and travelled firstly to Cape Town.  From there it's a long and winding road - North!
We supply updates whenever possible, and you can follow these through the
LATEST UPDATE and PREVIOUS UPDATES links. 
We have given ourselves as long as it takes to complete our adventure.

Our routing and dates to be places has been influenced by our desire to travel in the cooler months.  Why?  Well, because most areas of Southern Africa are summer rainfall areas, so avoiding summer means avoiding rain, mud, bugs and heat.
