Question: How did
you get started in the Safari business?
Answer:
The
late Barbara Shannon of California dared us to
build a luxury touring vehicle and start a Safari Company, promising to
be our first client. Well, to cut a long story short, we rose
to the challenge, and Barbara was indeed our very first client!

Question: How can you
take a year off work?
Answer:
Taking a year out of our lives has been a conscious choice. We
will leave the management of our Engineering business in the very
capable hands of the current manager, Louis Deysel, while the
typesetting and design company will close its doors for the time we are away.
As we don't have any children together (although Alan has an
adult daughter, Kerry-Lee), it was actually quite an easy decision!
