Gee, how time flies when you're packing up your life!!
We have packed our home into boxes, double wrapped all the paintings and furniture in bubble wrap with Silica Gel and anti-moths, silverfish, mice and bugs stuff and are currently "homeless". In our case "homeless" means living with wonderful friends, Alan and Helen Parkinson, who kindly offered us their fabulous hospitality until we leave. Our grateful and unending love and thanks Alan and Helen!!
I, (I, being Sandy), have packed up my business too - a sad thing after fourteen years, but adventure lies ahead and what will be, will be, after that.
We have done a number of test drives in our Unimog; days filled with one disaster after another, where helpful and kind people seemed to "pop" out from nowhere to offer assistance. Other days where the Mog drove superbly without any glitches. We've spent wonderful times trying out all our gadgets and equipment and are now packed and ready to go!!
The last remaining items on our "To Do" list revolves around "legal stuff"; such as the Carnet for the vehicle, our International Drivers' licences etc. Today as I sit and type, it's just ten more sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
