We're
nearly at our starting point!

On
the road again (tra la la). Yes, we're back in the Mog and
trundling down the road. After leaving the tranquil peace of
Cinsa, we headed west and found a quaint and charming town,
Kenton-on-Sea for lunch, where we parked the Mog overlooking the
sea. With our hunger for fish and chips satisfied, we made
our way to Jeffrey's Bay, where we spent a lovely evening with
family; Cathryn, Clayton, Robin & Benjamin. Thanks
for a wonderful evening folks!!

The next morning saw us heading off west again, past mountains
with fog from the sea roiling around their heads, and proteas
lining our way. It was time for "nibblees" when we
drove over the Storms River Bridge. We wanted to take a
photo of where the river meets the sea, and so took a detour to
Tsitikamma National Park - it is soooooo fantastic that we decided
to spend the night there. The caravan sites, watched over by
nimble Dassies, are grassed and spacious, with ours being just
meters from the crashing waves and high flying surf. A walk
through the forest brought us out at a suspension bridge and gave
us an excellent view of the bay known for visits from Humpback
whales in the winter months.

We will certainly visit Tsitsikamma again in the future; we
enjoyed it so much! However move on we must, and so we left
and headed for Mossel Bay, where we booked into the ATKV campsite
in Hartenbos for two nights. They have clean ablutions and
lundry facilities - most important for us as we have been on the
road more then a week now and the chance to do laundry the easy
way is a chance not to be missed!
Despite
it being winter, we have clocked up in excess of 50 birds in our
list so far. The weather is holding out wonderfully, even
though the Cape coast gets its rains in the winter months.
It's shorts and short-sleeved shirts weather! This
morning we sat in bed, drank coffee, ate rusks and choccie
biscuits, as the dolphins lazily swam by just off the coast.
We
leave Hartenbos in the morning and head for Cage Agulhas - we will
have travelled 2000kms just to get to our starting
point!
